Spring Break 2016 - Wacky Wednesday

It was another great day spent enjoying the lack of alarms and appointments.  Today we were wacky.  Everything we did was done backwards or with a silly twist.  We played lots of games, had breakfast for lunch, and acted like we didn't have a care in the world. 

Spring Break 2016 - Terrific Tuesday

Terrific Tuesday got off to a slow and lazy start.  No alarm or rush to get dressed, which is a nice change to our normal routine.  The sweet treat for today was a trip to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and a long time to play games.

In keeping with our tradition, a group photo in the booth.  This pretty much sums up the end of our visit.  Ridley is exhausted and the boys are hyped up and ready to go. 

Spring Break 2016 - Marvelous Monday

We are getting Spring Break started right!  I thought I would try to make the week fun by naming each day.  Today was Marvelous Monday.  We were lazy and stayed in our pajamas until lunch, and then we headed out for a surprise.  What is better than a trip to Toys R Us and a milkshake?  

Tag Along

What do you do when you have two older brothers that play lots of baseball?  You make the best of it!  Ridley is a real trooper.  From field to field and baseball park to another baseball park, she is most always a pleasure to tag along.  

Watch out brothers!  One day Ridley will be taking dance, and there will be practice.

Urban Air Party

We celebrated Reed turning 5 and Ryland turning 7 at Urban Air.  It was completely nuts, and all the kids loved it!  Running, jumping, and acting crazy!  We are so thankful to have so many celebrate with us.

Growing Up

I tucked my sweet Reed in bed tonight for the last time as a four year old.  He asked me to cuddle with him, and I was happy to oblige.  Reed has always been my sweet cuddler. I love this smart, funny, little boy so much.  He melts my heart.

Prepping for the Party

The boys' birthday party is quickly approaching and the last thing on our list of to dos are the party favors.  All three kids were really interested in helping, so we set up a little assembly line.  The best thing about the added assistance was the great conversation.  I adore these little helpers!

Celebrating Reed

Today was all about Reed at school.  He was the line leader and the center of attention at story time and enjoyed a special snack.  He has thrived at Chapel Hill and today was another day of love from his teachers and friends.

Hide and Seek

Where are Ridley and Reed?  I just don't know.  

I did find some pretty cute feet.  They played for a full hour in my closet.

Afternoon

It was a beautiful afternoon, so we had to get out and enjoy some sunshine!  We headed down to the neighborhood park to play.  I love these precious smiles!

OWAN Decorating

Jessica and I had a great time decorating the ballroom for OWAN.  The Vegas glam theme came together perfectly, and the event was a huge success for Old Union.

Worn Out

I love these two sweethearts so much, and I love seeing them cuddle.  Tonight, they were exhausted!

Big Girl Bed

We took off one side of Ridley's crib and converted it to a toddler bed.  She was thrilled and climbed in and out, over and over.  Time slow down.

The Escape Room

I had a blast out with the MOPS tonight at the Escape Room.  We were put in a room to figure out the mystery and escape in 60 seconds.  It was hilarious and so much fun!  Needless to say, we didn't make it out in time, and we had tons of clues.  

We all had fun and lots of laughs, so it was a great night!

Valentine Photo Booth

The littles had a Valentine photo booth at their pre-school.  I giggled when I received the proofs.  The first one breaks my heart, because it is so obvious that Reed wasn't feeling it.

He somehow gets it together for a forced smile.

Jump Rope for Heart

Ryland participated in Jump Rope for Heart again this year through his school.  Today was the jump roping presentation of skills.  He has gotten so much better in a year, and it is cool to see his coordination develop.  

CHCS Valentines

I dropped off two adorable little ones today with all their Valentine goodies.  Reed was the talk of the school with his dear stand box, and he was so proud.

Ridley was playing hard to get this morning.  She refused to smile and after several tries, I gave up.  She still looked precious in her heart dress.

In the afternoon, I joined Reed at his Valentine party. They had this large note pad that each student said what they love.  Our sweet Reed said mom and dad. My heart melts...

Valentine Crafting

It is serious Valentine prep time at our house.  Ryland and I finished home created valentine cards with melted Crayon hearts.  He was excited about the deer head stamp and camo paper.

The Valentine box ended up perfect!  It is a great dear stand.

Ryland's Teacher Conference

I always love to hear how wonderful my kids are doing in school.  Today, I met with Ryland's teacher for the annual conference.  We spoke about how Ryland is doing in the class and where he falls with the expectations of the district.  Of course, he is exceeding expectations academically, and he is a class favorite.  Mrs. Evans filled me in on how kind and sweet Ryland is to everyone in his class.  He is a genuine boy that cares about his classmates.  My heart is so full!

Friends

Ryland has made a great friend at school, and he and Grant are big buds.  It is so much fun to see them interact and play but most of all just be silly boys.
