Visiting with Grand Pop

My dad came to visit and meet Reed. We had a great visit and always enjoy catching up. Since Ryland was sick, my dad was a huge help in keeping the boys apart. He is awesome with babies, and Ryland adores him.

We pulled Reed's swing over to the table, so he could "eat" dinner with us. He can now see the owls on his swing, and he was mesmerized.

Ryland LOVES bubbles! He can't get enough of this bubble blower, and Cooper can't get enough of chasing the bubbles. I am not kidding when I say we spend hours blowing bubbles. I really mean hours.

Rain and bubbles - 2 favorite things

The weather has been really hot and dry for the past few weeks. We were pleased to see a brief rainstorm, and Ryland couldn't get enough of the sprinkle. He loved standing in the rain.

Ryland kept sticking his tongue out to catch the rain. He is silly!
Nanna came to spend the night with us and visit for a little while. She picked up this cool bubble gun for Ryland. After playing in the rain, he came inside to another one of his favorite things, bubbles.
We knew the bubbles inside would make a little mess for us to clean up, but how could we resist. Ryland thought it was the neatest thing. He just stood and watched the bubbles fall around him for a while, and then he started catching them. Simple joy.

Too funny

I was in need of some new glasses, so I packed Ryland and we headed out to find some. I hardly ever wear glasses, but when my contacts are out, I am blind. I thought I better go ahead and get a new pair before I was in a situation. I found a pair that I really love, and the frames were in stock. "In about an hour" they would be mine.
I never knew getting a new pair of glasses could be so fun. Ryland wanted to touch everything, and he laughed hysterically at me when I tried on a pair. I put a pair of kids glasses on him, and he couldn't get them off quick enough. I tried to snap a picture about 5 times and this is the best shot. He looks like a little Chris Farley.
Forget the bubble machine. Ryland just figured out how to dump out the bubble solution. He then decided to roll around in it. Garage floor + bubbles = tons of fun
He was a slippery little thing, but he had so much fun. I love to hear him laugh!

Fun at The Little Gym

The moms' group that I belong to had a fun activity for the kiddos today. We all met at The Little Gym to play and have some fun. Ryland loves the parachute, but likes to be under it not on top.

He is not a big fan of sitting on the parachute while the moms walk in a circle holding the edge. Most of the other kids think it is a blast and are completely enamored my Mr. Nick singing.
Future balance beam pro? I think the routine starts when you get on the beam and off the ground.
For this routine extreme concentration off the beam is the key.
The one moment these two boys were both still. It is a cute picture of Ryland and his buddy, Jackson. I wonder what they are thinking. We blinked and the moment was over. They were up and playing again.
Bubble time! All of the kids were major bubble freaks. When Mr. Nick started blowing bubbles, they all were amazed.
Jackson went to his knees and started checking them out.
Ryland laid down on the mat and started rolling around.
Bubbles are amazing!
