CHCS Easter Party
I am so blessed to be able to attend Reed's parties at school. I love being there with him to celebrate the special occasions. Today it was all about Easter and learning about Jesus rising from the tomb.
Reed is such a cutie pie bunny. So handsome and sweet!

Reed's Turn
Sensei gave Reed a special pass to participate in Jiu-Jitsu class this evening. Reed was thrilled to be a part of the action. He did a great job paying attention and doing the training exercises. He is a tough, physical little boy, and he hung in there with the big kids.

Class Turkey
All the students in Ryland's class created a turkey feather with their parents. Each feather had a student's name and a special quality that their parent is thankful for. Ryland's is in the second row in the middle. We made camouflage feathers and taped them on the bigger feather. We are thankful for Ryland, and he is nice and a great hunter.

Chapel Hill Easter Party
Ryland's class celebrated Easter with a carrot themed party. The parents helped out at the tables that each had an activity. While I was painting feet, Ryland came over to show off his bunny face paint. I was a bit surprised that he let someone paint his face, and when I asked him to put his feet up and hop like a rabbit, he did. He was in character and loving it! This makes me so happy to see him being silly and having fun outside home. Just one more reason I love Chapel Hill!!!
Brady Rabbit and Ryland Rabbit snacked on carrots and ranch.
The Easter Bunny stopped by for a class picture.

Easter treats
Tonight was all about prepping for Easter. I stayed up way too late, but I got every bit of it knocked out. The Easter cards came in today, and I have to admit the tent picture with the cheesy stuffed animals turned out pretty cute for Easter.
After a bit of cutting, scoring, and gluing, the printable tags were all attached to the classroom treats. The eggs are all stuffed, taped, and labeled. Ryland's class is getting a foam craft kit.
Reed's class treat is egg shaped chalk and a carrot or bunny sucker.

Making hearts
I made the mistake of browsing Pintrest for Valentine treats for Ryland and Reed's class. I found tons of adorable ideas, but we picked heart shaped crayons. We found a pan at Ross that would work great, so we got an early start by giving it a try.
It took a little while to get the paper off the crayons, but the first batch turned out really cute. The boys thought it was super cool that they could color with hearts. Only three more batches, before we can package them and call it complete.

CHCS Christmas party
Ryland's class had their Christmas party, and all the kids had a great time. The class mom, Kristen, did an outstanding job of planning a fun party. They looked cute too, in their monogrammed red aprons.
Mrs. Pam helped open mini peppermint canes for decorating the gingerbread houses.
Even after eating several pieces of candy, Ryland's gingerbread house had plenty of colorful goodies. It was fun to decorate the house with gum drops, M&Ms, and lots of marshmallows.
Since Reed was already out of school for Christmas break, he was able to come to Ryland's party and play. He really liked the tractors in the fake snow, which is also his big brother's favorite place to play in his classroom.

Class party treats
We made adorable little Rudolph Hershey bars for Ryland's class. He was quite the helper on their assembly. They turned out really cute, and he couldn't wait to give them to his friends at school. Merry Christmas!

Silly class
Ryland is loving his new school. Everyday I pick him up, I ask him how his day went, and he still tells me it was GREAT. When I ask him what he learned, he tells me all about the letter of the week and what words start with the letter. He is learning a ton of cute rhyming songs, and he is so happy and is getting more outgoing.
Ryland's teacher sends email updates with all the info that the class is working on, so it is a great way for me to know what to ask. She is having curriculum day next week, and she will cover the main goals for the year. The picture was attached to her email for the day. I asked Ryland why he wasn't making a silly face, and he said, "I didn't want to."
