Bedside Art

When I was getting in bed tonight, I noticed two pieces of paper taped to the urn on my nightstand.  I looked a bit closer and realized it was the pictures Ryland had colored earlier this afternoon.  After he finished his masterpieces, he taped them on the container to surprise me.  I love my Ry Ry!  He is such a sweetheart.

Coloring

We love to color!  Especially with markers!  That is why Color Wonder markers are a big hit at our house.  They only color on special paper, so we never have a mess to clean up. Even though we have multiple books, the boys like to color one picture at the same time which can get a little tricky.  John Chris came home just in time to snap a picture of all of us coloring together.

Play dough & colors

The afternoons are very hot, so I try to get the boys excited about doing things inside.  Today we played with two of our favorite things - play dough and colors.  The boys were very excited and thrilled to play inside at the table.  We chatted and played for hours, and I remembered just how much fun it was to be a kid.

Coloring

Ryland wanted to color today and just regular colors wouldn't cut it. He wanted markers. I was hesitant but agreed. He worked on a Christmas tree picture and told me he wanted to give it to Brad and Chanda.
We decided to send the picture with a thank you note to them, so Ryland got very serious about coloring the picture. He did a great job with the markers and was so proud of his finished tree. He was excited to fold it and drop it in the mail. He is getting so darn big.
