Outside

We wanted to enjoy the gorgeous weather, so we headed to the park.  We did a little fishing, but we didn't have much luck.  It could have been the loud birthday party that was on the pond deck.  We think the fish were hiding.  We also played on the playground and soaked up a little sun.

The boys wanted to ride their 4-wheeler around the yard, and they talked us into taking Ridley on a ride.  Ryland did a great job of driving, and Reed held on to her for dear life. 

Determined to ride

It was getting dark outside, but Ryland was determined to take a few loops around the pool before going inside. He is constantly aggravated that his 4-wheeler runs out of "gas". AKA battery charge. We pulled it off the charger, and he took off. He has mastered the steering mechanism finally, but he makes me really nervous around the pool. He is a daredevil.

Ryland loves to ride his 4-wheeler. He doesn't understand how to steer, so he constantly runs into to things.
He is thinking about it, but doesn't understand yet. He knows were to find the "go" button.

Frustration. He is stuck in the flower bed. I try to give him a few tips on steering, but I end up just getting him out of the mulch.

Ryland figured out the cup holder at the front of his 4wheeler today. He stuck his cup right in and took off. He isn't hesitant to go fast now.
I see a little dare devil coming out.

Feeling better. Let's go ride!

Ryland was feeling much better today and wanted to play. We headed outside because it was absolutely a perfect day. I love to catch little nothing shots, and he was very interested in the grass today. I accidentally erased the color shot when I was playing with the saturation settings. Ooooops.

John Chris and I picked out this little 4-wheeler for Ryland about a month ago. We thought it would be a fun toy for his first birthday gift.
He did not understand why it would stop. He would push the "go" button, but as soon as he let go it would stop. Since we were riding around the street in our community, John Chris put a small little piece of tape on the button. He cruised all around and loved it!

The 4-wheeler is a hit! Scary thing is that one day he will be wanting a real 4-wheeler.

Or even worse, a motorcycle.
