Bounce house

It was finally time to go to the bounce house. Ryland said he wanted to go last Wednesday, and I told him we were going Monday with our play group. Every day has asked if it was Monday, so we could go to the bounce house. He has a memory!

He had a blast jumping, climbing, and sliding. He was moving so quickly. I couldn't get a good picture of him. His favorite bounce house is Batman. He just can't get enough.

Christmas festival

Our church has an annual Christmas festival with bounce houses, petting zoo, games, and food. Ryland had a blast! Bounce houses are one of Ryland's new favorite things, and he can't get enough of them. Just don't think he will come out when you tell him to get out.
John Chris joined us after work for dinner and some more fun. We checked out the small animals in the petting zoo, and Ryland thought the animals were hilarious.

Smiling with pure joy! He loves animals and is oblivious to me trying to get a photo.
Back to the bounce houses. Who isn't happy and refuses to wait in line?
John Chris and Ryland enjoy a big boy bounce slide.
The church has a huge tree out front with lots of lights and ornaments. The live music and chilly weather sparked the Christmas spirit.
Ryland lucked out and was able to get the last miniature horse ride for the night. I was really shocked that he was so calm and relaxed. He rode like an experienced pro.

BOUNCE

This is the last Friday for BOUNCE at the library, and we were looking forward to running off some energy.

It is funny to think back to our first BOUNCE outing several months ago. Ryland just sat beside the foam wedges and watched the other kiddos. He now runs all over the place like he owns the joint. I have to watch him closely to make sure he doesn't play to rough. He is really into throwing things these days, and it is keeping me on my toes.

One toy he hasn't mastered yet is the magnetic table. He still tries to move the animals around by sticking the magnet on the top instead of the bottom of the table. I am sure he will figure it out in the fall.

BOUNCE

Nanna was in town visiting, so we took her to play with us at bounce.

Ryland acted like he was a little tired. He would just plop down every now and then. Who knows? Maybe he was just power resting.

Peek-a-boo! We see you.

Bounce

Today was the last day of BOUNCE for a few weeks. Ryland and I have really enjoyed going on Fridays, and we look forward to them bringing it back in a couple months. It is funny to see how much he loves it today. He was running around and falling on all the foam wedges and blocks. I can't help but think back to the first session. He just sat on the side of one of the foam blocks with a boogie wipe in his mouth and a jingle ball that was attached to the block in his hand. He would not budge. I would take the boogie wipe away, and he would scream bloody murder.
I am constantly amazed at how quickly he is growing up. I am so excited to show him new things and share experiences with him, but I have to admit that it makes me a little sad to see him grow so quickly. He is a little boy now, and I can't stop wondering where my little infant has gone.
OK, enough of me being sappy.

BOUNCE

Bounce time again! Ryland branched out to a new toy today. He saw Harker and some of the other kids crawl through this tunnel, so he got a little more interested. It was so funny!
Since he won't crawl on all fours, he started army crawling or snake slithering into the tunnel. About half way through he decided to turn around. He couldn't get turned around because he was on his belly. His face was smashed in the plastic, and he started to roll. I couldn't get the camera fast enough to catch him in this funny position. He was frustrated but eventually was able to sit up.

BOUNCE

We haven't been able to attend Bounce for a couple of weeks, but we made it back today. Ryland's favorite toy this week is this plastic wall with an amazing swinging door. He had so much fun opening and closing the door. I looked at this toy at Toys R Us, but thought he would get bored with it quickly. It is kind of big and bulky and the perfect toy to play with somewhere else.

BOUNCE

It's Friday. It's time for BOUNCE!
We met Sarah, Harker, Lindsey, and Jackson at the library for our weekly dose of crazy kid fun. I grabbed a quick shot of the kiddos before they all went nuts.

BOUNCE! - take 2

Once again it is Friday, and it is time for BOUNCE!
We headed to the library to enjoy this baby social fun party. Sarah, Harker, and Sarah's mom met us there for the fun. Ryland did so much better this week, and I think it was because Harker was there. Harker is more mobile than Ryland, but she sat and played with him for a while. They are so funny together. If Harker has something, Ryland wants it and the same when he has something. I love the expressions in the pictures. I can't wait until they can talk!
I found some of the moms to be so funny. Some are very interactive, actually getting down on the floor and playing with their kids. Some just sit in the chairs and watch their kids. And then there are some who don't even play or watch their kids. It is almost like they completely forget about them until they start screaming because they have fallen and hurt themselves. I don't know. We will see how I am after 2 or 3 toddlers. CRAZY probably!

BOUNCE!

Our local library started BOUNCE on Fridays, and we had to go check it out. It is not quite what I was expecting, but it was a lot of fun. The whole second floor of the library is pretty much empty, so the staff set up a huge play area for the kiddos. Most of the children are walking and jumping, but Ryland seemed happy just sitting in my lap. He started out super clingy and would not let go of me. I think once he realized that I was not leaving him, he began to loosen up and play. He was very intrigued by this magnet table. He is way to little to actually play with it, but it was the perfect height for him to walk around. There were around 30 moms with children, and it is a fun time no matter how cold it is outside. We have added BOUNCE to the weekly schedule!
