Ridley received this Shimmer and Shine costume for her birthday from one of her pre-school friends, and it is a huge hit. She loves to dress up and sing. She is full of personality.

Safety Squad
We were all enjoying the pool when the kids disappeared inside for a little while. When they returned, they were all decked out in safety officer gear. I guess they will keep the adults in line, since we have SWAT and a firefighter on site.

Pretty Girl
Look who is looking pretty today in her new dress! Ridley is modeling an adorable racerback giraffe dress from Mud Pie. She, of course, was happy and full of smiles while I dressed her up. Having a girl is so much fun!

Superhero Saturday
The Fort Worth Museum hosted their annual Superhero Saturday, and I thought it would be a fun activity for the boys. We found awesome Superman shirts, and they brought their capes to help them get in character.
One of the coolest rooms is all about flight. We cut and taped coffee filters, paper plates, and paper cones to make the perfect flying contraption. Reed placed his in the air tube, and it took off. It flew in the tube for a long time before we had to think smart to get it down. He loved this, and I hated to pull him away to explore the other areas.
Super fun! This dino slide is created of industrial materials, and the boys enjoyed talking about the different pieces and where they came from.
The best part of the slide - the speed! Ryland flew out!
The boys hanging out in a dino footprint.
Doing a little grocery shopping.
We also ran into some other characters. Ryland was quick to pose, which really shocked me. Reed wasn't interested. NOT INTERESTED!
Look at that smile! He was so thrilled.
After a morning of Superhero exploring and keeping people safe, it was time to refuel. Reed was back to his normal self.

Rodeo Day
Reed dressed up like a cowboy for the rodeo celebration at his school. He was very excited to ride his horse to class, but the bandanna around his neck was just too much. He was insistent that he put it in his pocket. He is a head strong and adorable cowboy. He had a blast playing the rodeo themed games and petting the animals, especially the rabbits.

Knights
Ryland's friend, Charlie, spent the night, and the fun continued on the next morning. After breakfast they both dressed up as knights and chased around the house slaying dragons. There was a lot of screaming and chopping. The knights decided that our dog, Cooper, looked just like a brown hairy dragon. A chase took place, and only the knights came back downstairs. He was unarmed but hiding pretty well. Smart dog. Crazy knights!

We love the Dollar Tree
The boys and I needed to get out of the house this afternoon, so our housekeepers could work their magic. Ryland had been saving his "super big monies" for two weeks, so he finally had enough to go buy this boat he saw in a catalog. I wanted to stop at the Dollar Tree to pick up some Halloween treats before we headed to Toys R Us.
Well, the Dollar Tree was stocked with all kinds of costumes and accessories. Ryland quickly found several things he wanted. I gave him the choice to spend his money or continue on to Toys R Us, and he decided to purchase a bunch of stuff at the Dollar Tree.
The boys dressed up a knights as soon as we got home. We have a golden and a silver knight. Just watch out for the axes.
Dad even got in on the fun.
The flipping ninjas didn't last long, but they were a cool treat. The boys threw them against the door, and they would flip all the way down. It was a super fun trip to the Dollar Tree. It is our favorite store.
