July 4th

Happy Independence Day!
We continued the tradition with Mi Chula's and the Owens Family.  Our neighbors, the Nesters, also joined us this year, and all the children had so much fun.  Rolling down the hill and partying in the back of truck, and the night was topped off with an impressive firework show.  We are blessed!

Baseball Buddies

Daddy and Ridley had a great night at the RoughRiders game in Frisco.  The atmosphere was very kid friendly and had a great firework show at the end. I don't know the score of the game or what a RoughRider is, but who cares.  It was fun!

Happy 4th of July!

We celebrated 4th of July with a day of hanging out in the pool, playing with fireworks, and visiting with friends.  Ridley was decked out in her red, white, and blue with a big smile.
The boys played with their Airsoft guns since they had plenty of new beer can targets.
The sparklers were a little frightening at first, but the little guys warmed up to them pretty fast.  We only had smaller fireworks, but some of them packed a punch.

Celebrating Independence Day

For the second year, we kicked off our celebration at MiChula's.  While we waited for a table, I looked over to see Reed bellied up at the bar with an empty drink.  The look on his face is perfect, like he has had a long, hard day.
After dinner we picked out a spot to watch the firework show.  Ryland and Jackson were really loving it this year.
The crew!  Allisons, Owens, and Reeves
Keaton and Ridley were so sweet.  They were cuddling while watching fireworks.

Celebration & Fireworks

We celebrated the Fourth of July in Town Square again this year.  They had several activities for the kiddos, but the favorite was the bouncy slide.  Ryland and Reed could have slid a million times, but the lines got too long.

As it got darker, we anxiously waited for the firework show.  The boys were running around playing with Jackson and Preston.  John Chris was swinging them around, and it was all fun until Reed started screaming.  He immediately held his right arm close to his chest, and he wouldn't stop whining.  I attempted to comfort him, but he remained upset.  We all watched the firework show and talked about our favorite colors.  It was a long day, and the boys were fast asleep by the time we pulled into the garage.

Independence Day

I have driven by a local pool company for the past few years and admired their patriotic display. They always line up hundreds of small flags and put out signs.  I love that they are so supportive and not ashamed to say "God Bless America".  I was compelled to stop and take a few pictures.

We had a laid back morning and then met some friends at Trophy Club Country Club for some family fun.  The boys had a blast jumping in the bounce houses and enjoying some delicious ice cream.   Ryland and Keegan were big buddies and even had to share a chair.

Fireworks!  Before the Trophy Club show started, we enjoyed sparklers and some small ground fireworks.  All the kiddos were silly!

The big boys started a game of flag football with the help of Coach Dan, so Reed was quick to start flirting with all the girls.  He loved running back and forth to the front door with Reese.  They would chat and laugh and then run back down the sidewalk to the street.  They did this over and over until it was time to kiss and say goodbye.

Fireworks

We had a great evening of fun and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July.  We headed to Southlake Town Square to have dinner and enjoy all the festivities.  Even though the city had bounce houses and games, the boys had more fun rolling down the grass hill by the parking lot.

Free Friday & Fireworks

It was so nice to sleep in this Friday morning. John Chris and I were off work and spent the morning playing with Ryland and Cooper. We laughed, giggled, and made funny faces for hours. Great family fun!
We went to Southlake Town Square for the annual July 4th fireworks. We found a great spot for watching, but Ryland was passed out. We took a couple of pictures for him.
