Friends

It is crawfish season, so it was time to gather some friends for a little crawfish boil.  The grown ups had a great time laughing and chatting while the little ones played late into the night. 

Reed is a total ladies man and prefers the older women.  He loved on Gracie and Anna.

 

The boys wanted to climb and play all over the sofas, but they eventually wore down to watch a movie.

 

They all ended up caving to a movie.  Gotta love when the lights go out and Cars comes on.

 

Miss Leah Claire wasn't quite ready to call it a night.  She hung out with the moms - really she hung out with Cooper.  They are big buddies.

Working late

I still haven't installed the scanner on my new laptop, so the old one had to come out to complete one more task. I ran to my office to place the document in the scanner, and I returned to Reed attempting to help me out. I love the sleepy look on his face. It looks like he has had a long day at the office and is trying to finish that last email.

Christmas tree

I know it is December 15th, and I can't believe we are just now getting our tree decorated. We pulled it out of the attic about a week ago, but it has just taken a while for us to have a calm night.

We have a pretty gaudy tree, and we just love it. Our whole house is very monochromatic shades of green and tan. POP! Our red tree is a great conversation piece that is bright and fun.

The tree glows really red with the overhead lights turned down.

Ryland helps Dad hang an ornament.

Ryland is a little confused. He wants the ornament back, so he can play with it. He loves to touch the tree, ribbon, and ornaments.
