Where is the baby?

The last time we will put a baby in bed.  In the morning, she will be a 1 year old.
Time, please slow down.

Sleeping Beauty

I catch myself trying to make the time slow down.  With Ryland, I was so concerned with doing it right and following a development schedule.  With Reed, I enjoyed every moment of him as a baby.  It was fun to watch him learn new things at his pace.  With Ridley, I notice that she is growing up too quickly.
As I prepare for bed tonight, I chose to hold her and cuddle until we both fall asleep.  My precious sleeping beauty, please stay little a bit longer.

Baby Shower

Emily and Jeffery are expecting a baby girl very soon.  We all celebrated the expected family addition with a baby shower in Ruston. We enjoyed seeing old friends and catching up with family.  The diaper cake came together nicely with the fantastic help I had.
We look forward to meeting Miss Ellison.

My Helpers

In preparation for a baby shower this weekend, I needed to make a diaper cake.  The boys were very curious about this craft, and they wanted to help.  After rolling the entire case of tiny diapers, we started bundling the tiers.  I love that my camouflaged boys love to help their mommy!

Ridley Claire's room

I had a few more items to pick up to put the finishing details on Ridley's room.  My mom and I ran out for the last few items while she was in town visiting.  It was really nice to spend this time preparing for my little girl with a little "girl time" with my mom.
I love the finished room.  It is feminine without being too overdone, and I am really liking the pink.  As I put the last few things together and washed the clothes and blankets, I could only think about being a mom for the third time and the ways my life has been changed by motherhood.  It is the greatest blessing and largest responsibility that brings me so much joy.

Jesus is born

Reed and Ryland had these precious pictures taken at Chapel Hill as part of the celebration of Jesus.  They both dressed up and held baby Jesus before laying him in a manger.

Pink! Pink! Pink!

I am starting to think pink.  I have spent a little bit of time looking at nursery bedding, and I am in the decorating zone for the nursery now.  I ordered the bedding and curtains today, and I found the chair and artwork this past weekend.  I love the bedding, and I can't wait to see it in person.  We are using the dark brown crib again, so it will look a little different than the photo.  I picked a different sheet, so we will not have the grey color thrown in the mix.  I am getting excited!

Another visit from the frog

Guess who made another visit?  The fertile little frog is here again with a positive pregnancy test.  John Chris and I are absolutely thrilled to add a third child to our family.  The due date is April 19, 2013.

Meeting Benton John

Our close friends, Brad and Chanda, welcomed their precious baby boy, Benton John, to the world yesterday. John Chris, Ryland, and myself headed to the hospital to meet him and visit with his parents. Benton is so adorable and sweet. He has long fingers and toes and is already sporting his War Eagle gear.

Welcome to the world, Benton! We look forward to many fun times with you!

Baby shower for Aunt Kristi

While in Texarkana, we had a baby shower for Aunt Kristi. It was so fun to see all the pink girl things. Nana, Grandmother Sue, Grandmother Bobby, me, and Reed posed for a 4 generation picture.
Aunt Kristi's diaper cake

Aunt Kristi opened her gifts while I jotted down notes for her thank yous. See looks cute with her little belly.

Grandmother Sue, Grandmother Bobby, and Kristi's mom, Jeanette, watched the spoiling continue. My little niece will be decked out with tone of cute things.

Chanda's baby shower

Baby Roscoe will be arriving soon, so it was time to shower Chanda.

The girls met for an afternoon of visiting and treats.

The treats!

The diaper cake and party invitation.

I would like to thank my awesome assistants for helping creating such a masterpiece. :)
