Naps

It is a rare moment to catch Ridley napping.  She is full of energy and not going to miss a minute of the fun with her brothers.  I convinced her to rest in my bed and watch some cartoons.  She quickly fell fast asleep.

Graduating Chapel Hill

It is hard to believe that Reed has graduated Chapel Hill Children's School.  He has flourished in this warm and caring environment, and I have always been amazed at the teachers' love.
He learned so many things, but the most important is his love for God. I am so proud of you, Reed!

Growing Up

I tucked my sweet Reed in bed tonight for the last time as a four year old.  He asked me to cuddle with him, and I was happy to oblige.  Reed has always been my sweet cuddler. I love this smart, funny, little boy so much.  He melts my heart.

Big Girl Bed

We took off one side of Ridley's crib and converted it to a toddler bed.  She was thrilled and climbed in and out, over and over.  Time slow down.

Another Tooth

Ryland has lost another tooth.  The upper left tooth beside his front tooth is ready for the Tooth Fairy to pick up.  It seems like his teeth are coming out every week! It is crazy how fast the change from baby teeth to big boy teeth is happening.  He is getting so big!

Sleeping Beauty

I catch myself trying to make the time slow down.  With Ryland, I was so concerned with doing it right and following a development schedule.  With Reed, I enjoyed every moment of him as a baby.  It was fun to watch him learn new things at his pace.  With Ridley, I notice that she is growing up too quickly.
As I prepare for bed tonight, I chose to hold her and cuddle until we both fall asleep.  My precious sleeping beauty, please stay little a bit longer.

Holding Her Own

Miss Ridley has decided to hold her own bottle now.  She has been sort of doing this for a few weeks, but she would quickly let go when she realized what she was doing.  Today, she decided she was driving this bottle.  Oh, my sweet little diva is hard headed.  I lover her to pieces.

Big boy

After the boys trimmed each other's hair, we had to clean up the hairdos.  I carried both boys to our normal salon, and they tried to fix a bit of the damage.  It helped, but Ryland's hair was still crazy messed up.
Nana and Papaw came out to visit this weekend, and Ryland asked Nana to fix his hair.  She trimmed a bit more off the top and sides.  I put some gel in it, and at his request, I spiked it up.  He loves it and is obsessed with hair gel.
My baby boy has grown up. All the long blonde hair is gone.

First Tooth

Ridley's first tooth broke through today!  Our precious baby girl is growing up so fast!  I took about a hundred pictures trying to capture her toothy smile, but I was unsuccessful. She was all smiles until I pulled out the camera. Stinker!

Chapel Hill Graduation

Ryland is moving on to Kindergarten in the Fall.  He had his Chapel Hill Pre-K graduation this morning and a few nice surprises for the audience. Each student was called out on the stage individually.  The teacher introduced the student and told the audience a few things about each kid.  Ryland loves to play Legos and with his brother, Reed.  His favorite food is mac'n cheese and he wants to be a policeman when he grows up.

The Pre-K classes did a little singing too.

My baby is growing up so fast, and he is really excited about going to a big boy school.  I am a little sad for him to say good-bye to Chapel Hill.  He has come so far socially and academically in the past two years.  He has felt loved, secure, and challenged to learn more.  We could not have asked for better teachers and will miss them dearly.

Stars Academy Graduation

It is hard to believe that this day has arrived.  I remember it like it was yesterday.  The first day I was leaving my 6 month old baby at Stars Academy.  I was confident in my choice of schools and felt so comfortable with his teacher, Ms. Nan.  I couldn't help but have those new mom jitters, but I was quickly put at ease.  It is hard to express the blessing of finding someone outside of your family that you trust in caring for your precious baby.
Fast forward 5 years, Ryland is graduating.  He is ready for Kinder and is looking forward to his new school, Old Union.

Ryland was a singing machine!  He was really in the zone today.
