No words

Some days are just too much.  Today was one of those days that needed to end, so I can refresh my mind and body.  Ryland started Jiu-Jitsu this evening, but you would think my other two children were recently released from the area zoo.  I tried to watch Ryland and listen to what the instructor was saying, but I ended up just chasing kids.  Goodness!  Is it 8 o'clock yet?

Busted

Someone wasn't quite ready to call it a night.  John Chris and I could hear him bumping on the walls and jumping out of bed.  It was all fine until we heard the door open.  We tip toed up the steps to catch him peeking around the corner.  The flash confirmed he was busted.  He laughed and ran back to bed.

Different views of bedtime

As we wrapped the first day at Nana's house, we started getting ready for bed. Reed is still smiling and giggling.
On the other hand, Ryland has completely unraveled. He has thrown a temper tantrum and informed us that he "hates us all". I swear that is what it sounded like. I have no idea where he heard the word hate, but through his screaming and crying he needed to release the anger. He needs to go to bed to get some rest.

Bedtime

One of the best times at our house is bedtime. We give the boys a bath, put on pjs, and have a little fun before bed. Some nights we read a book and other nights we play jump in the bean bean. Obviously tonight Reed was ready to go to sleep, and Ryland was ready to play a little longer.

Bath time and then to bed

Reed is finally able to take a bath today. We all piled in the upstairs bathroom to bath the boys. Ryland played with his toys in the bathtub, and I bathed Reed in his little tub. He was relaxed in the water and seemed to really enjoy it. He never go upset or worked up even when I washed his hair. Reed is squeaky clean and in his pjs.
Ryland and Reed pile in the bean bag to "cheese" for some photos. Both are clean and ready for bed. Peace and quiet are soon approaching.

A sweet moment

We were getting Ryland ready for bed tonight, when we started our night night kisses. He kissed John Chris and Cooper, and then came over to give me a smooch. He kissed my belly and then gave me lots of kisses on my cheeks and lips. It was so sweet. Definitely one of the sweetest moments of motherhood.

Ready for bed

Nana brought Ryland some Valentine treats on this visit, and one of the gifts was this cool book. It is a recordable Hallmark book that replays Nana's voice reading the story. Ryland thought it was the coolest thing and laughed at the last page when he heard "Nana loves you".
The look of a tired little boy that doesn't want to give it up.
Cheese, one more time for the camera before bed.
