West Texas

Miles and miles of wide open beautiful west Texas.  Alone with my thoughts and lots of rocking horses.

Obsessed

I have bought some really adorable clothes for Ridley, but my absolute favorite item is her SweetHoney chambray tunic.  While driving to Ruston, Reed spilled his entire bottle of orange drink.  It went everywhere and ran under the seats where some hang up clothes were laying.  I noticed the mess, and we had to stop.
That is when it really hit me.  I am obsessed with this tunic.  Here I was on the side of Interstate 20 washing out this top.

A little funny

I worked in Austin again this week, and I was downtown at the Hilton, which had the best people watching.  I was relaxing in the lobby when I saw the valet bring in this cart with a paper sack and a watermelon.  I have no clue why it was so funny to me, but I just couldn't stop giggling.  I love watermelon, but I can't say I have ever brought one to a hotel.  I also saw some very interesting looking people.  The funniest one was a topless lady who was about 70 years old walking down Sixth Street with a cane.  Gotta love Austin!

Relaxing with Pops

John Chris and I packed and loaded the truck with all our suitcases and the boys' new toys. It was time to hit the road for the trip back home. Reed was obviously worn out. I didn't think he would even make it to the truck before falling asleep. We had a great visit and hope to see everyone again soon.

Visiting family

While in Texarkana, I wanted to take the boys out to see the Great Grandparents. They had never met Reed, and it had been awhile since they had seen Ryland. Grandmother Sue enjoyed holding and playing with Reed.
Ryland heard a few train whistles while we were visiting, and Poppy would take him outside to watch the trains go by. Poppy also knew where some new baby birds were. He showed Ryland the nest with the new babies, and Ryland thought they were cute.

Nana and Ryland "cheesing" for the camera.

We had a great visit, and I am glad my grandparents were able to see the boys. It was very difficult to get out of town with 2 little ones, but it was worth the ordeal. I now need to get both of them to Ruston to visit with their other great grandmother, GiGi.
