Time with Grand Pops

We all had a great time visiting with Grand Pops, but before he could leave, we had to take some photos.  Sweet and then silly.

Silly Photography

I love when I find extra pictures on my phone.  These are a few silly pictures that Reed took one evening.  Thanks for the giggles, buddy.

Hide and Seek

Ridley's favorite game is hide and seek.  Today she thought the shoe basket would help hide her, so she climbed right in.  Completely disappeared!

Funny Faces

Reed and Ridley are the best of buddies, and they are so silly together.  A simple request for a picture turned into a funny faces fiasco.  Within seconds, Reed had Ridley giggling uncontrollably.

Mischief with Scissors

Ha ha ha ha!  Too hilarious!  I can't stop laughing!
The boys played barber shop with each other today, and the results just kill me.  I laughed so hard.  Needless to say we will have to have something done with this mess before school starts.

Three Babies in the Crib

This is obvious silliness.

Boys will be boys

Hahahaha!  When I was getting everyone ready for bed tonight, Reed fell asleep on the sofa.  This is how I found him.  I guess this is in their DNA.

A little funny

I worked in Austin again this week, and I was downtown at the Hilton, which had the best people watching.  I was relaxing in the lobby when I saw the valet bring in this cart with a paper sack and a watermelon.  I have no clue why it was so funny to me, but I just couldn't stop giggling.  I love watermelon, but I can't say I have ever brought one to a hotel.  I also saw some very interesting looking people.  The funniest one was a topless lady who was about 70 years old walking down Sixth Street with a cane.  Gotta love Austin!

Poor shark

Ryland and Reed were thrilled to open the inflatable shark.  They couldn't quite figure out how to ride it in the pool, so they made it a yard toy.  One of the boys would drag the shark while the other one would attempt to jump on or grab the shark.  We couldn't help but feel sorry for the shark, but it was hilarious and entertaining.

Shopping

Many things have changed since having children, especially how much and where I shop.  My favorite store is now TJ Maxx/HomeGoods.  I just love that I can find basically everything I need in one place at a good price.  It would be perfect if I could get groceries there as well.
On today's trip, the boys tried desperately to push me to the limit.  I was really feeling my blood pressure creeping up until I looked up from the stacks of towels.  There were my boys laughing hysterically, along with a group of lady shoppers.  Ryland was trying on a bra - on his head!  Hilarious!

Oh my!

I am sure everyone has seen these little family stickers for your vehicles.  Every member of the family has one, even the pets.  They all are personalized for whatever that member is into.  Well, a few months ago John Chris and I pulled up behind a van with 11 stickers on it in the McDonalds line.  We laughed and joked about it, but couldn't get our phones out for a photo before the van turned the corner.
Today, I saw the same Econo van at McDonalds again!  I grabbed my phone, so I could get a photo.  All I could think to myself is, Oh my! How do they do it?  I can't even imagine.

Friday Fun

It is Friday, and we are getting excited to see our family and friends to celebrate Reed's birthday.  I have been running off a checklist for the past two days, and it is getting close.  We ran errands early, and the housekeepers arrived to clean up the house.  Reed was taking a nap, so Ryland, Grand Pop, and I hung out in Ryland's room.  I finished up a report, and Ryland played with the camera on my iPhone.  The pictures he took made me laugh.

Giggle

After the boys were tucked in bed, I found one of Ryland's little man's gun.  Pretty ironic for a little toy gun to be found on the Parents magazine that is full of great parenting advice and tips.  It gave us a giggle!

Funny faces

What is the best way to end dinner time? A bit of funny faces.
Mommy and Daddy
Reed's turn
And finally it's Ryland. Everyone leaves the table with a big smile and laughing. I love it!

Stamp

Thanks WCUMC MOPS! Just what every 3 year old wants - their very own stamp. Ryland had a great time assembling a foam Easter wreath and playing with his MOPPET friends. He was even more excited about his new stamp. He was sitting at the table while I made lunch, and I turned around to see a stamped face, front teeth, tongue, and both arms. I had to laugh, because he sat there so proud of himself. After we ate, he took a peak in the mirror and smiled from ear to ear. Too bad it wouldn't wash all the way off...

Shopping with little boys

Christmas shopping with 2 little boys is not the easiest thing I have attempted. I say attempted, because after today's trip I am not sure if I will be able to pull this off. We stopped a few special places and then headed to Kohls. After wandering around, picking out a few gifts, taking 3 trips to go potty, and making sure no extra toys got added to my cart, I was done. We got in line to check out when I noticed Ryland checking out the mannequin. He jumped right up on the platform and started checking out her legs and under the dress. I dug out my phone to snap a picture when the ladies behind me in line started giggling. Reed then died out laughing too. Ryland noticed we were amused, so the behavior continued. I finally had to tell him to get down and get back in line. Silly boy!

Small fries

After playing hard at the park for a couple hours, we grabbed a happy meal and headed home. Ryland wanted his fries immediately. I opened the box and noticed the fries were in a new smaller package. I knew Ryland would notice, so I grabbed my phone to take a picture. I handed the small fries and his expression was hilarious. He pointed at the package and said "Mommy, what's this?" I told him that they were a little smaller, but he also got apple slices. His response, "No Mommy, what's this?" I couldn't help but start laughing. I thought it was hilarious that he noticed and called them out. He was very serious and a little disappointed, but he forgot about it when he devoured the apple slices.

Matching pj"s

We had a cold blast of weather come through, so we pulled out the footed pj's to keep the boys warm. Nana gave Ryland and Reed these adorable green puppy pajamas, and they loved them. They really liked the puppies on the feet. So darn cute!
While trying to get the boys to ready for bed, one of Cooper's toys ended up in the plastic pumpkin bucket. He tried to get it himself and his head was stuck.

Ryland to the rescue. He pulled the pumpkin off Cooper's head while we all had a good laugh.

Going to Nana's house

Our suitcase from the trip to meet Ally has been sitting in the floor for the past few days. I finally got around to emptying it out and putting it up today. Ryland helped me empty it pretty quickly by throwing all the stuff on the floor and jumping inside. After seeing this fun, Reed wanted in on the fun too. Both of them laughed hysterically while sitting in the empty suitcase.
I told them I was going to zip them up - Where do you want to go?
Ryland answered - Nana's house.
I thought this was so cute. We spent the next hour playing in the bedroom floor and talking about all the places we could go.

Ryland once again got in on the picture taking, by snapping this shot of Reed.

Funny faces

Reed works on his winking. It is a silly face, and I couldn't help but laugh. Ryland thought it was funny too, so we started making faces.

Ryland tries to stick his tongue out while saying "cheese".
