Today, we celebrated Ryland's actual birthday. It is hard to believe he is 4 already. We spent the morning getting the last few details of his party together and playing Legos. I love our hang out time, because we just sit and chat about everything. Today, the conversation was about what he wanted for dinner for his birthday. I told him I had to make a trip to Sam's, and while we were out we could swing by Kroger to pick up whatever special meal he wanted. He got all excited and said he wanted to have pizza at Sam's for lunch. Hmmm, OK. That was easy.
For dinner, Ryland wanted sushi. John Chris and I laughed about this request. It was so sophisticated for a 4 year old. He doesn't eat the real sushi, but instead he loves the miso soup, edamame, and sticky rice. He likes to dip the rice and edamame in the soil sauce and using the chop sticks. We had a wonderful dinner with the mess to prove it!
