Big boy

After the boys trimmed each other's hair, we had to clean up the hairdos.  I carried both boys to our normal salon, and they tried to fix a bit of the damage.  It helped, but Ryland's hair was still crazy messed up.
Nana and Papaw came out to visit this weekend, and Ryland asked Nana to fix his hair.  She trimmed a bit more off the top and sides.  I put some gel in it, and at his request, I spiked it up.  He loves it and is obsessed with hair gel.
My baby boy has grown up. All the long blonde hair is gone.

Mischief with Scissors

Ha ha ha ha!  Too hilarious!  I can't stop laughing!
The boys played barber shop with each other today, and the results just kill me.  I laughed so hard.  Needless to say we will have to have something done with this mess before school starts.

Reed's new haircut

Who is this little boy?  Reed was such a big boy today, and now he really looks big too.  I am really pleased with the cut, and he is so proud.  I can't believe he is growing up so fast.

Reed's First Haircut

It was time.  Actually, it was way past time.  Reed was in need of a haircut, and it just happened to be a good time for all of us to go do it.  He was all smiles when he saw the car chairs.  He chose the taxi car and climbed right in.

Reed did pretty great for his first haircut.  He wasn't a big fan of the cape, and he started crying when it was snapped around his neck.  After about 15 minutes, he had a snazzy shorter do.  He is a big boy!

Haircut

Ryland's hair grows so quickly, and he has needed a haircut for the past few weeks.  I asked him if he wanted to get a haircut, and he told me he wanted me to cut it at home.  I have cut his hair before, but I am always at a loss for what to do with his sideburns.  I asked Nana while she was in town, and she said she agreed to give it a shot.  We decided to go ahead and trim them short with hopes of training them to go back more.  Ryland was very happy with the haircut, and he was all smiles.

Haircut

Ryland's hair had once again gotten really long and shaggy.  He had to constantly brush his bangs out of his eyes.  We told him he needed a haircut, but he said he wanted Mommy to cut it at home.  After fighting with him for about an hour last time, I had decided not to continue cutting his hair at home, but he talked me into cutting it one more time.  Only 2 minutes in, I was begging him to sit still and look straight ahead.  That is when I made my mind up to take him somewhere.  The next day we headed out for a real haircut.  The stylist took about an inch off all over, and it looks much more manageable.  I am a little iffy about his side burn area, but they tuck cutely behind his ears.  He cooperated like a champ, and he got a sucker.  There will be no discussion next time.  Salon here we come!

Ryland's first haircut

Ryland's hair has gotten out of control! John Chris and I have been talking about when we were going to have Ryland's first hair cut, and we decided that today would be the day. We wanted to just shape up his shaggy mess.
John Chris is explaining how the haircut won't hurt and how much better he will look. They look so deep in conversation. Do you think Ryland is buying it?

The minute he sat in the firetruck chair he started fussing, and all hell broke loose the minute the cape went around Ryland's neck. The lady said that this was a normal reaction for first haircuts. The fit got pretty ridiculous and the drooling started. We tried candy and his blanket to calm him, but neither worked.

WOW! What a cute little boy! He is all smiles now that the scissors and the cape are gone. He still looks like himself, and we are all pleased.
