Mother's Day

I love all the handmade gifts from my darling children.  They sure know how to make me feel special.  Being a mommy to my three precious babies is the best!

Garden Party at CHCS

Today was one of the best days ever.  Reed's class hosted a Garden Party for their Moms.  We enjoyed tasty muffins and juice while we looked at the class's beautiful art projects. My sweet Reed was so loving and proud to show off his art.  He made me a gorgeous watercolor hat, a portrait, and a hand printed towel.

My favorite thing was the card.  I love the fun questions and hilarious answers.  I asked Reed about the Ramen noodles, and he informed me that it is his favorite dish.  He wants me to make them everyday for dinner. Reed is too funny!

Happy Mother's Day

We took a trip down memory lane today in honor of Mother's Day.  Seven years ago, I celebrated my first Mother's Day at Main Event in Grapevine.  Ryland was a tiny infant that slept peacefully in his carrier.
This year was a bit different with my three sweethearts.  They all enjoyed the bowling and the atmosphere.  Ridley wore out a little early, so it made the end of the game a little difficult.  We all had fun and want to come back!

CHCS Spring Program

My little cutie pie, Reed, had the sweetest program at school.  He was such a great singer, and I loved the sweet songs.  He didn't get nervous or scared, and he did fantastic at the arm motions that were choreographed to the songs.  The program is such a precious event at Mothers' Day.

After the singing, Reed showed off his beautiful artwork.

My boys have been loved and adored at Chapel Hill, and I enjoy watching them interact with their old teachers.  It is nice to see the smiles and hugs!

Mother's Tea

CHCS is wonderful!  They always go above and beyond for special events and holidays.  Ryland's class had a sweet Mother's Tea to celebrate moms.  Of course tea parties require hats, so Ryland's class made beautiful tie dye hats.  I love it!
The boys made several treats for me, but I will have to wait until Mother's Day to open them.  I can hardly wait to open my treats, and I am sure to drop a few tears.

Creating gifts

Mother's Day gifts are almost complete.  The boys helped out again on the finishing touches.  Ryland is a big fan of Mod Podge, and as long as I keep an eye on him, he does pretty well.

Reed enjoyed tearing the paper and helping to rub the edges for an antiqued look.  He also liked to look at pictures of himself and his brother.

The reverse side of the blocks hold pictures of the boys from their birthday photo shoot.

Mother's Day

After a day of playing outside, my sweet boys took me to a delicious sushi dinner.  It was the perfect way to end the day, and the boys behaved so well.  As I sat there enjoying their delightful presence, I am constantly amazed.  I could never have imagined how much I would love being a mom.  I adore my energetic, sweet, and silly little boys, and I have the best husband to share it all with.  I am blessed.  I look forward to every moment with them.

Happy Mother's Day

Ryland woke up in a great mood today, and he was browsing the pantry with John Chris for something tasty for breakfast. He spots a package of cupcakes and immediately asks for them for breakfast. Since it was a special day, John Chris gave in to his request. What is so funny about this request is the fact that I woke up and saw the same delicious cupcakes. I just had to have one as well before anyone woke up. There is no question that Ryland is 100% my child.
We spent Mother's Day working in the backyard. We planted all the pots and put out new umbrellas around the pool. It was a fantastic hang around the house and get stuff done day. I feel so blessed and fortunate to be a mom, and I adore Ryland and Reed. This has been the BEST mother's day ever!

Happy Mother's Day

We started Mother's Day at my brother's with my mom. We had a great visit, took a few pictures, and exchanged cards and gifts. We always buy my mom a rose bush every year, and this year was no different. Of course she loved them and just about started crying.
We packed up and headed back home for the evening. John Chris, Ryland, and myself enjoyed a take out sushi dinner. It was exactly what I was craving, and we knew better than trying to take a cranky child to the restaurant. It was perfect. The boys gave me the sweetest cards and a new Tiffany charm for my bracelet.
I absolutely love being a mom. It has brought huge challenges, increased patience, less sleep, and more stress. It also has been wonderful hugs and kisses, silly smiles and laughter, and a warm feeling in my heart. I just can't imagine my life before, and I don't want to. I am enjoying every precious moment.

My first mother's day

I had a great first Mother's Day. My boys gave me the sweetest cards and a beautiful necklace, bracelets, and earring set. I will treasure this day forever.
We went to Main Event for a little bowling. Ryland did not seem too interested, but John Chris and I had a great time.
Yes, John Chris took this round.
I won this round. I think it is obvious that we are not professional!
