This fun never goes away! Our crazy, fun Friday night is learning about our new truck. Same excitement as when we were younger, just a much better new vehicle.

The Shop
I sometimes forget how the often overlooked things are really amazing to children. Today, we took my truck to Sewell in Dallas for an oil change and tire rotation. Reed was amazed by the shop. He wanted to know all about the cars and trucks that were getting worked on and how they went up in the air. The guys in service were amazing and let him have a front row view. Top it off with a cookie and a lemonade, and Reed is the happiest boy alive.

Precious Cargo
Our first family outing...
Home Depot, of course. We all loaded up for a short trip to one of our favorite stores. We officially need the third row.

One of a kind
I pulled in to the parking lot at Ryland's school, and I giggled. I guess I should find my place two spots over. Too funny.

Is this safe?
We spent the entire day in the yard cleaning and pruning. Spring is here, and we love spending time outside. The only problem is that we also like projects. In order to give the front flower beds a new design, the hollies had to go. They must be original plants in the flower beds, because they had a significant root system.
John Chris thought it would be a lot easier and faster to just pull them out with his truck. He backed up and tied a strap around the holly and then stepped on the gas. I couldn't help but grab the boys, take 10 large steps back, and close my eyes.

Washing and watching
It has been several months since John Chris has had a shiny, clean truck. He had two great helpers assist in vacuuming and wiping the interior, but they both just watched him wash the exterior. I am thinking he chose to contain rather than chase while washing. Looking good!

Picnic in the truck
I broke my own rule.
I have been very strick about eating and drinking in my new truck. Nothing but water is allowed. Until today, we were all hungry for lunch, so I whipped into Sonic. I had every intention of sitting at one of the tables outside, but quickly found out that I couldn't open either of my front doors. My truck was too big. I circled the building to find a parking spot, and every single one was taken. With both boys quickly loosing their cool and starting to yell, I caved. I pulled my big tank, I mean truck, back into a spot and ordered lunch. We enjoyed a picnic in the truck, but the rule is back in action. Only water! I mean it!

Worn out
What is sure to wear out two kids in under an hour? Sam's on a Friday afternoon, and the hum of my truck on the way home! I pulled in the garage to find my sleeping angels. I just couldn't bring myself to wake them up. I quietly unloaded all the party supplies. They have such a hard life.

My new sweet bus
What is wrong with this picture? This is the rear view of my new ride taken by me while driving John Chris's truck as we drove off the dealership lot. I didn't even drive my new "baby" off the lot.
Today has been totally nuts and the peace and quiet of the empty truck I was driving was awesome. I elected the quiet ride back home in hopes of relaxing before I quickly picked up dinner for our friends with a new baby. I was admiring my sweet new kid hauling bus when...
I noticed that John Chris had the windows down. I pulled up beside him and heard the screaming of my boys. Ahhh, I picked the right ride home!
