Go Cowboys!

To celebrate Brad's birthday, we went to a Dallas Cowboys game. This is the final year for them to play at Texas Stadium.

Chanda found great tickets. We were in the bottom section closest to the field, and we could really see all of the action.

The Cowboys beat Tampa Bay 13 to 9.

It's a boy!

We just found out that we are having a baby boy. We are both very happy and excited. John Chris has already made hunting and fishing plans with his "little buddy". I guess this officially means I will be a soccer, football, or baseball mom. (I will not drive a mini-van.)
We had a 4 D ultrasound done, and it was so amazing. We have lots of pictures and a DVD of him moving around. We were blown away to see him. He still looks like a little alien, but he is a handsome little alien.

Flower Power for Sarah Palin

I was asked to help with the flowers for Palin's luncheon fundraiser in Dallas on Oct. 3rd. All the arrangements had a mini USA, Texas, or Alaska flag. Now I can say I have done flowers for the future vice-president. :)

2nd trimester!

We have reached the 2nd trimester. 14 weeks today! I went to the doctor for a check up and everything looks great. I was able to hear the heartbeat again (160 beats per minute). It is a really amazing sound, and it quickly reminds me how remarkable this experience is. We will keep you updated as things progress.

Trip to Ruston

Cooper was so excited to go to Ruston. He hopped in the trunk when we were loading. Muddy feet and all. (Don't worry we didn't let him ride there.)

We went to Ruston to celebrate Jeffery and Emily's upcoming wedding.

Candice & John Chris

The atmosphere was great at the TL James house. The party had a fall theme complete with pumpkin and fall leaves for decor. The food served was canjun! DELICIOUS! It was nice to see family and old friends again.
