Field Day

Due to lots of rain, Field Day had to be moved inside at Old Union.  The kids didn't seem to mind one bit.  Ryland's favorite activity was the blowing baseball inflatable.  I think he was liking the response from the line of boys watching him cream the ball over and over.  He would then go the back of the line to wait for another turn, all while giggling when his friends couldn't hit the ball.

Reed and Ridley got in on the action too.  They chased bean bags that were launched off the foot stomper.

Even though it was disappointing not to play at the stadium, these Dragons made the best of a fun day at school.

New Experiences

I had so much fun with Ridley and Reed this afternoon.  I took them to one of my favorite ice cream places to experience a bit of heaven.  Freddy's opened when I was pregnant with Ryland, and it was my weakness.  Since moving to Southlake, I never drive by it, so it has been too long.  These two loved it!  So yummy!

Next, we headed to Old Union for a very up close look at hot air balloons.  It was a wonderful and educational afternoon at the school by a very experienced balloon group.  Reed jumped right in on the action.

This was as close as Ridley would get to the balloon.  She was scared to death by the balloon's blowers, and she wanted no part of it.

Gold Dragon Team are Champions!

Ryland finished up the season with a first place finish.  The Gold Dragons fought hard to beat the bully team and an undefeated team.  This has been a great experience for Ryland and for our family.  We have been blown away by the coaches.  They always focused on fun and the love of the game.  Ryland grew so much on the field, but so much more off the field.  He made lots of new friends and learned to be proud of not running in his Old Union pack.

Black Dragon Team finish 3rd!

Reed finished up the season with a playoff tournament.  His team was played hard and almost beat the top ranked team.  They have improved so much over the past few months.  Reed started this season with tears at practice, and he is now proud and excited to play ball.  He has really grown in focus and determination.

Minor Surgery

Ryland was a brave big boy today.  He had a mole on his jawline that we have been watching for the past few months removed.  He had the procedure without me in the room and didn't cry.  He is very self conscious of the bandage, so we will hang out around the house for a few days.

Graduating Chapel Hill

It is hard to believe that Reed has graduated Chapel Hill Children's School.  He has flourished in this warm and caring environment, and I have always been amazed at the teachers' love.
He learned so many things, but the most important is his love for God. I am so proud of you, Reed!

Lauren gets Married

We had a great night celebrating Lauren and Connor's wedding.  I love these sweet ladies, and I am so happy for the Padians!

Silly shots with the funny crew.

Can't beat running into Ted Cruz before the party!

Reed's Stars Graduation

The years seem to fly by.  Reed graduated from Stars Academy today, and I caught myself in disbelief.  He can't be finished with pre-school already.  He is a total sweetheart with a hot temper.
I am amazed by how quickly he catches on to things and how smart he is already.  He is the sweetest and most cuddly little boy.  I love him to the moon and back the mostest with butter.

First Grade Field Trip

I was lucky enough to be drawn for the class chaperone for Ryland's first grade field trip.  Each class could only bring two, so I was thrilled to be a part of this fun day.  We headed to Denton to visit the Elm Fork Education Center. It was a day full of activities and fun on UNT's campus. We learned about all sorts of animals, and it was a great opportunity to explore.  We had a blast!

Mother's Day

I love all the handmade gifts from my darling children.  They sure know how to make me feel special.  Being a mommy to my three precious babies is the best!

Bluebonnets

We continued the bluebonnet photo tradition this year.  It was an absolutely horrible experience, and all three children were nuts.  NUTS!  The pictures came out beautifully, but we are down two shoes, lots of tears, and the clothes are ruined.  Somehow, body slam the bluebonnets is what this session turned into to.

Cinco De Mayo

Reed and Ridley traveled with me to Austin for work this week.  I only had two partial days of meetings, and I was looking forward to a little adventure with them.  I had a Happy Hour scheduled for Cinco De Mayo, and I was asked to please bring them by.  My co-workers were so excited to meet them, and they raved about how adorable they are.  :)

I was very thankful when they pulled out a pinata.  They had gone out of their way to plan something fun for my littles to do while visiting.  The pinata was filled with chocolate and hard candy that my kiddos loved.  It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture.

After lots of candy, tv, and laughing, my little crew crashed.  I love watching them cuddle together.  They are so precious.

Garden Party at CHCS

Today was one of the best days ever.  Reed's class hosted a Garden Party for their Moms.  We enjoyed tasty muffins and juice while we looked at the class's beautiful art projects. My sweet Reed was so loving and proud to show off his art.  He made me a gorgeous watercolor hat, a portrait, and a hand printed towel.

My favorite thing was the card.  I love the fun questions and hilarious answers.  I asked Reed about the Ramen noodles, and he informed me that it is his favorite dish.  He wants me to make them everyday for dinner. Reed is too funny!

Medieval Times

Reed celebrated Travis' 6th birthday at Medieval Times in Dallas.  He was so excited to come home and tell us all about the awesome fighting knights and horses.  Go green knight!
