Mini Huddler Skills Showcase

Ryland has really enjoyed the Mini Huddle camp.  He has learned some technical football skills, and he shows interest in playing.  In fact, we noticed how engaged and competitive Ryland has become. The final day was a skills showcase, and Ryland really shined.  He was picked to be the last kiddo to run the drill.  He nailed it!  He knew all the parts and did a fantastic job.

Ryland likes to be in the action, and Reed is running to occupy his time.  He will be so happy when he is 4.  He will finally be able to participate in the camps.

Three Amigos

We were being silly this afternoon and taking pictures of each other.  This is our three amigos selfie.  It was pretty challenging to get us three in one picture, but we finally got it.

Family Tree

Reed made this sweet family tree at pre-school, and I love how he added Cooper.

Friends

The Bunch family came over for dinner tonight, and all the boys had a blast as usual.  They love having friends right down the street.  I can't believe we caught them all sitting down.  This was a rare moment!

Funny Faces

Reed and Ridley are the best of buddies, and they are so silly together.  A simple request for a picture turned into a funny faces fiasco.  Within seconds, Reed had Ridley giggling uncontrollably.

Mini Huddler

Ryland is learning the fundamentals of football at Mini Huddler.  He looks forward to going twice a week, and he has met some new buddies.  He is very engaged and always the first one to lineup or raise his hand to answer a question.  We noticed that he has gotten more and more competitive, which is a nice surprise.

8 month photos

Our sweetheart, Ridley, is growing so quickly.  She has four teeth now that her top two came in on the same day.  Even though she is teething, she remains happy and sweet.  She loves to be held, and she has started "talking".  Her brothers absolutely adore her and love to play and entertain her.

Happy

Who is happy?  Ridley helped me work today, so we set up shop in my office floor.  She had her play mat and animals, and I sat on the floor by her and answered emails.
Her happy spirit is infectious, even in the most boring of tasks.

Art

We found the perfect piece of art to fill the large empty wall above our tub.  While the boys played at the neighbors' house, John Chris, Ridley, and I made a trip to Dallas to shop.  We immediately found this piece and knew it would be perfect.

Lazy Mornings

I love lazy Saturday mornings!  The boys crawled in bed with us this morning to watch cartoons, and they ended up falling back asleep.  I took this picture and immediately realized these special moments will be over before I know it.  My baby boys are already growing into little boys and taking up more and more space.  Space I am happy to share.

Baseball Practice

It was a slightly cooler day, which made it nice to sit outside and watch a little baseball practice.  Ryland is really into the game this year, and it is obvious that he is understanding the game more and more.

While brother played, Ridley played in the grass.  She figured out she likes to eat grass, an she thought it was hilarious.

Crafty Alphabet

As I prepared the tablescapes for our new year of MOPS, I noticed Ryland picking up the scraps of fabric.  He carefully taped the fabric pieces together to create letters.  Before I realized what he was doing, he was working on the letter C.  He wasn't sure how to make the fabric curve.  I love how he loves to make things. He is one hands on kiddo!

Fishing

We headed to Bob Jones Park to enjoy some family time and catch a few huge fish.  After a trip to Academy, we had all the fishing gear we needed.  John Chris set the boys up and reviewed some basic skills.  Ryland was very interested in fishing, and he was dedicated to catching the biggest fish.  He pulled in a beauty, but it wasn't quite as big as he had wanted.  He didn't give up.

Reed's experience was completely different.  He fished for a little while but was quickly bored after not catching anything.  He enjoyed looking at the ducks and playing on the nearby playground.

Ridley watched all the fishing action, but she liked the ducks and playground better too.

Stars Academy

Ridley enjoyed her first day at Stars Academy with Ms. Gretchen.  Since they had so many little ones a few months older than Ridley, they divided the class.  Ridley was the youngest,  so she stayed behind until some more babies join.  She is going to be spoiled rotten while she is the only baby in her class.

Reed was thrilled to be in the classroom upstairs, and he was happy to see all his old friends.  He was all smiles and silly faces.

Clapping

Ridley has learned to clap, and it is adorable!  She is so proud of herself and starts clapping when you say "Yay".

Reed's First Day

Today was Reed's first day back at Chapel Hill Preschool.  He was really excited about playing with his friends and carrying his own backpack to his class.  He has Ms. Debbie and Ms. Pam, and we all are thrilled. There are several kiddos in his class that he knows, but there is a great mix of new ones, too.  He walked right into class after a sweet hug for me, and his teacher had to pull him away from toys and friends for a quick picture.

Two Babies

Now that Ryland is in Kindergarten, Reed and Ridley have lots of time to play together.  Reed absolutely adores Ridley.  She woke from her nap this afternoon, and Reed was the first one in her room to greet her.  I quickly wrapped up the dishes and walked to her room to get her out of the crib.  I walked in to find this...

Reed had climbed in her crib and helped her sit up.  He found her paci and decided to give it a try.  He cracks me up!  I love how she looked at him in the second picture.  I think she already knows he is crazy!
