Ryland starts Kindergarten

It's official!  Ryland is a Kindergartener.  He was so excited to meet his classmates and check out the toys in his new classroom.

Our big boy about to go inside, but we had to have a quick picture of him with the Dragon.

Summer Checklist 2014

It was the last evening of our summer, so we double checked our summer checklist.  We made this list at the beginning of our summer of all the things we wanted to do. We have had a wonderful summer, and we checked everything off!

OUES - Meet the Teacher

Ryland met his new teacher, Mrs. Hill, this morning and checked out his new classroom at Old Union.  He found his desk and cubby, and then started exploring.  He is so excited!

7 month photos

Precious pictures!  I love to look back at these and see how much Ridley has grown.  She continues to be a total sweetheart. All the boys are totally smitten, and I can tell she will be spoiled rotten.

Big boy

After the boys trimmed each other's hair, we had to clean up the hairdos.  I carried both boys to our normal salon, and they tried to fix a bit of the damage.  It helped, but Ryland's hair was still crazy messed up.
Nana and Papaw came out to visit this weekend, and Ryland asked Nana to fix his hair.  She trimmed a bit more off the top and sides.  I put some gel in it, and at his request, I spiked it up.  He loves it and is obsessed with hair gel.
My baby boy has grown up. All the long blonde hair is gone.

Fun with Grandparents

Nana and Papaw came out to visit for the weekend, and the kiddos had a great time playing and visiting.  John Chris and I had an opportunity to get some time out of the house without little ones.  It was great!

Stomach Sleeping

I have been wondering when Ridley was going to sleep on her stomach, and it finally happened today.  I checked the baby monitor before I went to sleep, and I see little Miss on her stomach.  It made me so happy, because she was off the back of her head.

Who Needs Toys?

Our children have way too many toys, and I have been trying to simplify and scale back.  I realized once again that they can entertain themselves with the simplest of things.  All three of them played in a cardboard box today, but Reed and Ridley really loved it.  For well over an hour, they giggled and chatted while sitting in this box with a few stuffed animals and a blanket.

Mischief with Scissors

Ha ha ha ha!  Too hilarious!  I can't stop laughing!
The boys played barber shop with each other today, and the results just kill me.  I laughed so hard.  Needless to say we will have to have something done with this mess before school starts.

Brotherly love

Reed and Ridley are early morning risers.  This gives them priceless quality time before the house really wakes up and gets crazy.  I love the moment they see each other for the first time each morning.  It is the sweetest moment of pure love and joy.
This morning Reed woke up asking if he could feed Ridley.  I agreed, and he was very excited.  For a boy that doesn't sit still, Reed fed his sister the whole bottle and even tried to burp her. They adore one another.

Urban Air

It's party time!  Ryland and Reed were excited to jump and celebrate their friend's birthday at Urban Air.  All the boys chased each other and jumped until they were worn out.  They had a blast!

Baby Shower

Emily and Jeffery are expecting a baby girl very soon.  We all celebrated the expected family addition with a baby shower in Ruston. We enjoyed seeing old friends and catching up with family.  The diaper cake came together nicely with the fantastic help I had.
We look forward to meeting Miss Ellison.

My Helpers

In preparation for a baby shower this weekend, I needed to make a diaper cake.  The boys were very curious about this craft, and they wanted to help.  After rolling the entire case of tiny diapers, we started bundling the tiers.  I love that my camouflaged boys love to help their mommy!
