One Month Photos

It is hard to believe that my sweet baby, Ridley, is already a month old.  She is a total sweetheart and loves to cuddle and be in the middle of the chaos.  She enjoys taking baths, listening to music, and watching her brothers.  She is sleeping about 5 hours at night and her gas and digestive issues are improving.  We are starting to see her beautiful blue eyes, and little blonde hair is starting to grown in around her face.

Boys will be boys

Hahahaha!  When I was getting everyone ready for bed tonight, Reed fell asleep on the sofa.  This is how I found him.  I guess this is in their DNA.

Chatting

While rocking Ridley this afternoon, she spit her pacifier out and started chatting.  She was a bit shocked that sound came out, so she stopped.  I asked her what she thought, and she started chatting again.  There we sat taking turns talking about our day.  I am so in love!

Monster Jam

Ryland and Reed were so excited about the Monster truck show at AT&T Stadium.  It was boys night, so they met Brad, Benton, Rodney, Jackson, and Preston for some fun.  A night of wings, loud trucks, and lots of redneck yelling.  It is a bit funny that they were in a suite.

They were still raving about how cool the monster trucks were when they got back home.  They told me all about the trucks flipping and spinning around.  It was obvious that they had a great time!

T Ball Starts

It is that time of year, and the boys have been anxiously waiting to get their ball seasons going.  Ryland started T ball this morning with practice at the ball park.  He was so excited for practice, and he had to wear his full baseball uniform from last year.  He had a blast, and a few great hits.

The Shop

I sometimes forget how the often overlooked things are really amazing to children.  Today, we took my truck to Sewell in Dallas for an oil change and tire rotation.  Reed was amazed by the shop.  He wanted to know all about the cars and trucks that were getting worked on and how they went up in the air.  The guys in service were amazing and let him have a front row view.  Top it off with a cookie and a lemonade, and Reed is the happiest boy alive.

Visiting with Lizee

Lizee came to meet Ridley and visit for a few days.  The boys had a blast crafting and chatting with her.  They filled her in on everything that has been going on lately, and all about Baby Ridley.

My littles with Lizee

Ridley likes to be around everyone.  She loves to rest on the sofa, so she doesn't miss a thing.

Valentine snuggle

Ridley is such a little snuggle bug.  Every morning between 5 and 6, she wakes up ready to eat.  After she finishes, we snuggle, and she goes right back to sleep.  I love this precious time with her, and it is my absolute favorite time of the day.  What a great start to Valentine's Day!

Valentine Parties

Today was all about Valentine parties with the boys.  Reed's class held a cookie decorating party.  There is nothing quite as funny as a bunch of two and three year olds with icing and sprinkles.  Reed smeared icing all over one cookie until he covered every bit of it.  He then added a bunch of sprinkles.  He refused to decorate his other cookie.  He said he didn't want to decorate that one, because that was the one he was going to eat.  Smart boy!

Ryland's class had ice cream sundaes, and he couldn't get enough chocolate syrup and M&Ms.  He ate every bit of it, and he soon had a massive sugar high.  The class attempted to play a game of Valentine bingo, but the attention spans were lacking. He loves anything sweet and would eat sugar by the spoonfuls.

Jump Party

We celebrated Jackson's 5th birthday at Jump for Fun.  The boys ran around like crazed maniacs and jumped their hearts out.  It is hard to believe that our babies are getting so big.

2 Week Well Baby

Ridley started her well baby appointments with the pediatrician, and she was a trooper through all the measurements and physical tests.  She weighed 8lbs 6oz - 46% percentile.  She was 20.5 inches long - 60% percentile, and her head measured 14.4 inches - 61% percentile.

Snuggle

Reed and Ridley snuggled on the sofa to watch Sheriff Callie before bed.  I love to see him be gentle and sweet, and I couldn't help but wonder how he will be when he gets older.  He is rough and tumble, crazy and loud, hard headed and strong willed, but he is a loving sweetheart that loves to snuggle.

Bathroom Project Continues

Our master bathroom renovation continues, and today was a big milestone.  We laid the first travertine tile on the floor and completed the shower pan.  It made us very happy because it felt like we were turning the corner and actually getting somewhere.

The boys were right in the middle of the mess, as always.  They wanted to help with everything and when that didn't work, they just brought their toys in the bathroom.  We wanted them to feel included, so we let them write their name in the shower cement and help with the little parts of the project.
More pictures to come.
