Faces

Somebody is getting pretty expressive.  I caught a few cute faces, including a bit of a smile.

Slow Down

I am trying my best to juggle three little ones, the house, work, life, and the list goes on...  I still haven't quite found my stride yet, but my little helper, Ridley, loves to help slow me down.  Today,  I spent most of the day holding Ridley, while the boys were at mothers' day out.  Even when she falls asleep, I just can't put her down.  I think about how quickly the boys grew out of the baby stage, and I just want to savor this a little bit longer.
I know this will make the nights a little later for me, but it is worth it.  My house is a mess.  I have on exercise clothes, and I haven't been to workout.  I am way behind on things, but I think I will sit and cuddle a bit longer.

T Ball

After a crazy day of birthday party fun, it was time for Ryland to play some T ball.  He was very excited to play on the real fields in his new uniform.
He loves baseball!

Ryland's birthday party

Ryland has been waiting for his birthday party for months.  He was so excited to gather his friends and celebrate at Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine.  He had a big group come to have a little cake and do a little fishing.  He was thrilled to wear his camo gear, too!

After everyone finished the cake and treats, we all headed out to their stocked pond.  All the kiddos had a fishing pole, and lots of corn to bait their hooks.  Lots of people caught fish, and everyone had a great time.

This also was the first time that my dad met Ridley.  They had some sweet bonding before it was time to hit the road running.

Blastball

Today couldn't have come soon enough!  It was finally time for Reed to enjoy playing ball.  He has been so excited this week, and it was obvious that he was having the best time.  He ran the bases like a man on a mission for home plate.

Sneak Peek

The shower glass is in!  We have been waiting for about two weeks for the custom, frameless shower glass, and it is beautiful!  We are so pleased with the massive shower, and I can't wait to take a shower.  More pictures of the finished master bathroom to come.

Well checks - Round 2 & 3

I scheduled Ryland and Ridley for well checks on the same day to see if I could get two things done off my ever growing list of to dos.  I was hoping this would go a little better than all three together with some receiving shots and some not.
Ryland was in a very silly mood and was really trying to entertain me.  He is growing and developing normally, and we have no cause for concern.   Ryland weighed 45.4 lbs which is 80 percentile, and he was 43 1/2 inches which is 63 percentile.  The doctor said this was typical right before a growth spurt in height.

Ridley wasn't interested in entertainment today.  She was tired and just wanted to sleep, but the doctor had other plans.  She was her normal happy self and went along with the exam.  We are watching her belly button, because it still hasn't healed.  The doctor treated it with nitrate, which will hopefully fix the problem.  It will be stained and ugly for a bit, but it doesn't hurt.  Ridley weighed 11 lbs 8.5 oz which is 69 percentile, 22 3/4 inches at 66 percentile, and her head was 15 1/2 inches which if 67 percentile.  She is very proportional.

2 months

Such a doll!  Ridley is the perfect addition to our family.  She is laid back and happy most all the time, and we are loving how her personality is starting to show.  We all have really enjoyed the past two months, and look forward to lots more fun times.

Ryland is 5

Ryland is 5!  How did this happen so quickly?
He woke up in a great mood and excited to be five years old.  When asked what he wanted for breakfast, I got the answer I expected - a cupcake!  My sweet tooth boy!  And wouldn't you know, I had some cupcakes on hand.

Ryland continues to be our sensitive, sweet boy who loves to be right there with us.  He enjoys to work on house projects, play baseball and soccer, and loves anything camo or hunting related.  He is easy to talk to and has a super memory.  I love him so much!

Loving

I am rarely ever in pictures with the kiddos, and this is proof why. Not only am I usually the one taking the pictures to capture all these memories, but I usually have my hands full.  Tonight, John Chris caught me snuggling with my two babies.  Enjoying the loving!

Buddies

We traded boys tonight with the Bunch family - We took Travis, and they took Ryland.  Reed and Travis were thrilled to have their very first sleepover, but not before we had some fun at Chuck E Cheese.  These two boys are crazy apart and even crazier together!  They had a blast playing the arcade games and finished the night on a pallet in the gameroom watching cartoons.  They laughed and played late into the evening before finally crashing.

Smiling

Guess who is a smiley face?  Ridley is all about smiling and making the silliest grins.  She starts out with a big smile and then does a silent laugh.  It is pretty entertaining.

Boas & Pythons

Yuck!  Once again the huge snakes were at the library for a show during Spring Break.  I know the boys love it, so I happily took them to see the big nasty things.  Our good friends, the Wood girls, were once again going, so we made the annual outing.  The boys and Harker loved the snakes, and they couldn't wait to pose with it.  Keaton and us mommies were not so interested.

I was also holding Ridley, so I couldn't help but think that damn snake was considering a quick snack of my child.  I swear the snake was looking right at her.  I could have been a bit paranoid, but whatever.  I kept my distance with my sweet, little, tasty baby.

Reed's 3rd Birthday Party

We celebrated Reed's 3rd birthday today at JumpStreet.  He was so excited to have a firefighter party with a crew of friends to jump.  This is the first year he has had a party with classmates instead of just family and close friends.
Everyone had a blast and no one got hurt, which is always a great thing when you are at a trampoline park.  Reed was thrilled beyond words and wanted to do it all over again before we even left.  I love to see him so happy.

A hug from Keaton, his first friend, before everyone heads home.

Driving

It only took a day to think about, and now Reed loves his new four wheeler.  He not only was sitting or riding it today.  He was driving it!  Go Reed!

Reed turns 3

Our sweet baby boy is 3!  Reed is always on the move and is always into something.  He keeps us on our toes and laughing hysterically.  Reed's birthday breakfast request was cinnamon rolls with candles.  Funny, because he is not a sweet eater.

John Chris and I were really excited for the boys to see their birthday gift.  When John Chris came home from work, we gave the boys a box to open.  They unwrapped their gifts and were thrilled about the "motorcycle" helmets.  Then they found the key.
We all headed outside to take the new four wheeler for a ride. Reed didn't want anything to do with it.  He refused to ride or even sit on it.  Ryland immediately jumped right on and took it for a ride.
Not exactly the reaction we were expecting from either boy.

Mornings

I have never been a morning person, but as I have gotten a little older, I really enjoy 7:00AM.  My mornings start with sweet baby noises from Ridley.  I go get her from her bed, and she comes to my room for her breakfast.  We have some cuddle time before Reed comes stomping down the stairs.  He usually climbs in my bed with his Ziggy and Nonnie, and he is ready to watch Paw Patrol.  He gets cuddled in and covered up, and he then realizes he has to go potty.  He jumps up and races to the bathroom and just barely makes it, every morning.  About 15 minutes later, Ryland quietly shuffles in the room with his Itsy and blanket.
We talk about the day and what we have planned.  We giggle, give hugs and kisses, and talk about what the weather is going to be for the day.  I just absolutely love this precious time with my babies and their babies.
