Mini Dribbler Skills Showcase

Look at that cutie grinning!  Reed was showing off today at his Mini Dribbler Showcase. We were pretty hesitant anout basketball, but once again Reed killed it!  He is such an athletic child that wants to try everything!  

Reed was right in the middle of the action.

Mini Dribblers

For the past two years Reed has been sitting in the stands with me while we cheer for Ryland.  We have gone through seasons of blastball, soccer, and football.  Today, he was finally the player, as Ryland watched.  Reed started basketball camp, and he was so very excited.  

Since basketball is something none of us have played before, we are all learning a ton.  Reed was very engaged and soaked up every new skill they taught.  He loves dribbling the ball and putting his "hand in the cookie jar".

Ridley was our cheerleader, but she really just wanted on the court with her brother and a ball.  It is going to be a full time job to keep her on the sidelines. 

Mavs game

We thought the boys would enjoy a Mavs game, so we all braved to chilly weather for a little fun.  It was a great night, and the boys had a blast.  We cheered and made lots of noise, and the boys got beads from the Maniaacs.  It was awesome!

Basketball goal

When I picked Ryland up from school today, he was playing basketball. He was having a blast, and his teacher said he had bee playing for awhile and was pretty good. He had to show me his mad ball skills before we left. I have to admit he was enjoying it, and I thought he would love a goal at home. We picked one up on the way home, and we played all evening. Ryland loves basketball.

Don't you just love our court? No baseboards and painted spots. Sweet.
