Glass Elevator

The best thing about going to Dallas with Mommy was finding the joy in the small things.  Today, it was the glass elevator.  It was super cool to look over a part of Dallas from the top floor.  We rode the elevator up and down about 6 times.  We got a few funny looks from others, but the smile on her face when we got to the top was perfect.

Girls Day in Dallas

Ridley and I headed to Dallas for a bit of errands.  I had a doctor's appointment and needed to drop off my bracelet, and we decided to make a day out of it.  After my seeing my doctor, I took Ridley on an elevator ride.  The building is 16 stories, and the elevator is glass.  We didn't need to ride it, since my doctor was on the ground floor, but who can say no to a glass elevator.  Up and down.  Up and down.  Ridley was loving every trip.  We made six trips up and down while we giggled.

We headed to Northpark to drop off my bracelet, and Ridley had a blast playing on the planters.  I think every child in Dallas has climbed on these things, and Ridley finally had her turn.  We looked at the art sculptures and counted turtles under the bridge.  We had so much fun.

Music festival

Since the boys were out of town having fun, John Chris and I planned a few fun activities for us.  It was really weird without our boys, but we kept busy with date night dinners, a movie, and event a music festival in Dallas.  We loved Matt & Kim!

Crawfish & Cake

We were excited to spend the afternoon with our friends in Dallas.  The Brashears and their neighbors had planned a crawfish boil, and we had a blast enjoying great company and awesome food.  It was such a nice time.
After we were stuffed, a little dessert showed up that was a special treat for Ryland.  We had an early birthday celebration.  What goes perfect with crawfish? Cake!
Thank you Aunt Chan, Uncle Brad, and Baby Benton for making Ryland feel so special.  You guys are the best family we could ever adopt.

GO MAVS!!

Awesome night to watch the Mavs. We had great tickets and fun friends to share the experience. The game quickly turned into a run away, so we headed to the Jack Daniels Club for a few drinks. It was so nice to be out of the house and with grown ups.
