Lunch Date

I had some errands in Southlake Town Square, so Ridley and I stopped off at the library for some new books and DVDs.  When we were walking back to the truck, Ridley said "I need some Mi Cocina, mommy."  She didn't have to twist my arm.  I needed some, too!  I love lunching with my little lady!

Lunch Date

I had lunch duty for Kinder Cafe, so we went to Old Union for lunch.  Ridley sat at the guest table, and Reed was sweet enough to join her.  These two are the best of friends and make each other laugh like crazy.

Lunch must have tired Ridley.  We weren't home 15 minutes, and I found her asleep sitting up on the sofa.

My Partner

My lunch date, and I love these days with her.  She is growing up so fast, and it is a blessing to have this time with her.  Today, we enjoyed errands and lunch before an hour at Michael's picking out Halloween treats.  She loved every minute of it, and so did I.  Love you Miss Riddles!

Girl Time

While the boys are away at the hunting ranch, Ridley and I had our own fun.  A trip to Toys R Us for Barbies and lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.  I am enjoying this vibrant little diva and her joy for life.

Lunch Buddy

I couldn't wait for lunch today.  It was finally my turn to be a lunch buddy at Ryland's school.  I spent the lunch period opening bags, milk, and ketchup and taking care of every little bit of assistance a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds need.  Ryland was excited to see me, and I enjoyed meeting his friends.  He told me that the cafeteria gets loud, and he was right.  My goodness!

Rainforest Cafe

What a great adventure! Ryland and I had so much fun at Rainforest Cafe. I wasn't sure how he would react, and I couldn't have dreamed of a more exciting place to eat with him. Before we even went in the restaurant, he was so interested in all the animals.
This moving alligator kind of freaked me out when it rocked forward out of the water and snorted at us. Ryland just laughed out loud and jumped up and down.

Since we were so early, we got an amazing seat right by the elephants. Ryland didn't get scared or act timid in any way. He loved every minute. The elephants would come to life, move, and make loud noises.
On the other side of our table was a large ape. When the thunder storm rolled in, the ape started jumping up and down and screeching. Ryland started making monkey noises too.
Before we left, we had to go check out the big waterfall. Of course Ryland wanted to climb in the water, but he grinned from ear to ear as the water lightly splashed his face.
This was one of my absolutely favorite memories. Ryland had a blast. He sat in his chair and ate for an hour and a half, which is a record. The smile says is all.

Chiptole

Peer pressure worked in our favor today. We sat down at Chipotle to eat a bite when Ryland saw another little boy eating. The other boy had a spoon and was eating out of a container. Previously Ryland only wanted to eat torn up tortilla, but all that changed. He wanted a spoon. He wanted to eat like a big boy, and so he did.

Sushi with mom

I had an adorable lunch date today. He was charming, funny, and full of wonderful conversation. I would call him Mr. Perfect.
After playing at the splash pad, Ryland and I headed to eat sushi. Don't worry. I had a California roll, and he had edamame. He was in the best mood and being very silly.

I am sure we didn't look so presentable after the splash pad, but we had a great lunch. Ryland was full of silly faces and laughed the whole time. I just love him to pieces!
