Sleepover at the Perot Museum
I have been really excited about taking the boys to a sleepover at the Perot. We were thrilled to get a spot, even though it was right after returning from vacation. It was a Super Hero themed night, and we all had a great time. We couldn't help but think about the movie with Ben Stiller. Would these guys come alive?

"Throw the bone!"
We also were treated to a 3D movie. Overall the night was a great success, and we enjoyed exploring the museum with only a few hundred people. When it was time to sleep, I got a big uncomfortable, but the boys were happy as could be. We slept on the dinosaur floor with a great view. Awesome night with my boys!

Superhero Saturday
The Fort Worth Museum hosted their annual Superhero Saturday, and I thought it would be a fun activity for the boys. We found awesome Superman shirts, and they brought their capes to help them get in character.
One of the coolest rooms is all about flight. We cut and taped coffee filters, paper plates, and paper cones to make the perfect flying contraption. Reed placed his in the air tube, and it took off. It flew in the tube for a long time before we had to think smart to get it down. He loved this, and I hated to pull him away to explore the other areas.
Super fun! This dino slide is created of industrial materials, and the boys enjoyed talking about the different pieces and where they came from.
The best part of the slide - the speed! Ryland flew out!
The boys hanging out in a dino footprint.
Doing a little grocery shopping.
We also ran into some other characters. Ryland was quick to pose, which really shocked me. Reed wasn't interested. NOT INTERESTED!
Look at that smile! He was so thrilled.
After a morning of Superhero exploring and keeping people safe, it was time to refuel. Reed was back to his normal self.

Perot Museum
The Perot Museum opened a few months ago, and I have been looking forward to taking the boys. It was cold and rainy, so it was the perfect day to play inside. The children's area was awesome. It is complete with a camping area, building site, art station, and lots more.
After having a ton of fun in the children's area, we went upstairs to check out the cool permanent displays. Reed was impressed with the dinos, and he couldn't stop talking about how big they were.
Ryland's favorite area was the exhibition on space. He was completely amazed and didn't want to leave. It had been a few hours of exploring, so Reed was about to melt down. It was hard to pull them out of the museum. As soon as we loaded the truck and pulled out of the parking garage, Ryland asked when we could come back.

Museum
Ryland's school was closed for Columbus Day, so we decided to visit the Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History. I have heard wonderful things about the museum, but I had never dared to take both boys. This was the perfect day, and it would give me time with Ryland since Reed went to school. We met some friends for a play date and spent the morning wondering and exploring a cool new place.
Ryland was all grins the whole day. I think we could spend an entire day in just the dino area. He loved seeing the "bones" and playing in the large footprint on display.
The Cattle Raisers exhibit is upstairs and had an interactive horse to round up and drive the cattle into the pin.
The children's museum was an awesome place to play. Ryland loved watching the snakes, and he had lots of questions.
A kid sized grocery store was the biggest attraction for our group. They could have played there for days.
We had lunch in the cafeteria and checked out the Energy exhibit/movie and the other children's rooms. We learned how to create an awesome paper airplane and coffee filter fliers. It was a full day of fun that we are already excited about returning to very soon. Ryland loved it!
