Snow Day

The weather forecasts have been all over the place.  One minute we are going to get snow, and the next minute we will miss it.  We ended up being right on the line of the front, so we enjoyed a nice dry dusting of beautiful snow.  It barely covered the coping around the pool and lightly covered the flower beds.  It was so peaceful watching it fall.

Ridley enjoyed the snow fall while waiting on her brothers to get home.  She sat in her chair patiently waiting and playing on her tablet.

Friday night fun called for a family room pallet and a movie.  My sweet babies are getting so big.  We had a fantastic Friday.

Pallet Party

While John Chris and Ryland are away at the camp, I had fun with the little ones.  We made a big pallet with lots of stuffed animals.  I love watching Ridley and Reed together.  They are such great buddies.
Goodnight my loves.

Pallet Party

While John Chris is away skiing, I have been enjoying lots of sweet moments with my children.  Tonight, I thought it would be fun to try a pallet party.  I laid out lots of blankets and pillows in my room, thinking that the party wouldn't last long.  We cuddled in and watched a little Paw Patrol.

Before I knew it, all three of the kiddos were out, and even Cooper sneaked in.
Sweet dreams sweet babies!

Pallet time

The boys love to sleep on a pallet together.  I was such a sucker tonight, and I caved even though it was a school night.  John Chris was out of town, and I was just plain worn out and lazy.  After baths we got comfy to watch an episode, and the boys were asleep in 10 minutes.

Goodnight

We made a big pallet in the family room, so all of us could watch a little TV.  It wasn't long before we noticed that both boys were asleep.  Ryland was bundled up under a blanket on a pillow, and Reed looked like he had on a straight jacket.
Goodnight, my loves.

Somebody is going to be upset

We started making pallets on the weekends a few weeks back, and the boys absolutely love it.  We laid out all the blankets and stacked all the pillows.  Reed was the first one to get comfortable and look what he grabbed.  He was quick to snatch Ryland's Itsy.  It cracked me up that he knew this was a no no and the smile and glimmer in his eyes were priceless.  Somebody is going to be upset....

Forts & pallets

John Chris mentioned building forts and sleeping on pallets to Ryland earlier in the week, so we all "camped in" the game room. The boys were very excited to see all the blankets and pillows. Ryland requested the air mattress be blown up too. We all hung out for a while before Reed started fussing for his bed. The rest of us talked and watched some cartoons until falling asleep. John Chris and I woke up a few time throughout the night longing for our comfy bed, but we both decided to tough it out. We knew Ryland would be so happy to see us still on the pallet when he wakes up in the morning. It was a great family fun night!
