Boys' Breakfast

In order to have a quiet morning so Ridley could catch some more sleep, the boys resorted to a picnic in the master bathroom floor.  I asked them why, and they matter of factly told me the heated floor.  Made sense to me.  Enjoy your cereal, boys!

Copycat

Ridley loves her older brothers, and she tries to do everything they do.  Good and bad.  This morning Ryland pulled his hood over his head, because he wasn't quite awake or in a good mood.  It was his way of telling us to leave him alone.  Ridley thought that this was funny, so she grabbed her blanket and made a hood.  When Ryland saw this, he burst out laughing.  The morning mood was quickly changed.  Thanks to the copycat!

Muffins with Mom

Ryland invited me to have breakfast with him in the cafeteria before school, and it was really nice to relax and have one on one time.

He wanted me to walk him to class, so he could show me his Texas Cowboy.  It is the one standing above his head with the big blue eyes.  Very cute!

A Full Day of Christmas

We started the day with Breakfast with Santa at Town Hall.  I have heard about this event for the past few years, and we were fortunate to get tickets early.  It was awesome, and we will make this a new family tradition.  The breakfast was super laid back, and there were lots of fun craft activities for the boys.  The morning was complete when Santa arrived to visit and take pictures with the kiddos.

After breakfast, we were in full Christmas mode.  We ran some errands, did some shopping, wrapped gifts, and finished decorating the house.  We were all worn out by 7:30.  Goodnight, my sweet boys.

Yummy breakfast

What a treat for breakfast! I pulled out the powdered doughnuts for myself this morning, and Ryland was intrigued. I gave him one to try, and he is now a huge fan. I can't blame him. I am as well. They are yummy! Not so much on the healthy and nutritious breakfast menu, but everyone needs a little sweet treat in the morning. Ahh, the face of pure sweet sugar love.

Birthday breakfast

Happy 1st birthday, Ryland!
We went to IHOP for breakfast this morning to celebrate the big day. Ryland loves pancakes, and he devoured them this morning. Of course he was a flirt with our waitress, and she brought him a little surprise.
What does every 1 year old need to get the party started? An ice cream sundae, of course. He had it all over his face, and he couldn't eat it fast enough. I only had my phone to take a picture, and I could not get him to pay attention to me so I could snap a shot of his face. He had a blast and made a mess.
