Merry Christmas

The kids woke up excited to check out their new stuff.  They were so happy to see new toys and clothes.  Ridley's favorite item was her doll house.  Ryland's favorite item was his new bike, and Reed's favorite item was the foosball table.
We were lazy all day and just played around the house.  We had birthday cake and sang happy birthday to Jesus, since He is the reason for the season.

Halloween Attire

Ridley and Reed started the week at pre-school in very festive attire.  It is a week full of fun and parties.  Very spooktacular!

Obsessed

I have bought some really adorable clothes for Ridley, but my absolute favorite item is her SweetHoney chambray tunic.  While driving to Ruston, Reed spilled his entire bottle of orange drink.  It went everywhere and ran under the seats where some hang up clothes were laying.  I noticed the mess, and we had to stop.
That is when it really hit me.  I am obsessed with this tunic.  Here I was on the side of Interstate 20 washing out this top.

Shipping Out

I have a new hobby, and it even pays.  As Ridley grows out of her first size of boutique clothes, I sell them.  I have joined the dark world of boutique and designer girls clothing groups on Facebook.  It has been fun and crazy to meet so many different people.  Not bad for one night.

Our hunter

This week is nothing short of pure craziness.  As if Ryland's birthday party wasn't enough, go ahead and add in Teacher Appreciation day at Reed's school and picture day at Ryland's school.  I can't even think about all the festivities for next week that I need to pull together.
Long story short, Ryland wanted to change clothes after school, so I told him to go upstairs and change.  I told him it was chilly outside so pick out something warm.  I just knew he was going to grab shorts and flip flops since we just bought summer clothes.  I heard a bunch of bumping around upstairs, and a few minutes later he showed up in the kitchen dressed in camo. I giggled, because he still had on the light pink Polo shirt.  He informed me that he was going hunting.  Hunting for hogs.

Time to wash?

I bought Ryland a new shirt, and he was very excited to wear it.  Now.
I told him that I would wash and dry it, so he could wear it later in the week when it warmed up outside.  He asked me if I had washed and dried it about 30 minutes later.  I told him no, and this is what I found in the laundry room....

Ryland threw the clothes in dryer on the floor and put the wet clothes in the dryer.  He then informed me that the washer was ready for his shirt.

He wasn't so subtle in telling me it was time to wash, at least he is helping with chores.

Matching shirts

The boys returned home with lots of cool new clothes.  Out of all of the shirts, Ryland loves the "Nana" and "superheroes" shirts.  I let him choose his clothes, and he selected the "Nana" shirt today.  When Reed realized that he could match Ryland, it was all over.  Both boys were a perfect match.  When Ryland put on a cap, Reed wanted a cap.  They are little twinkies.
Thanks for the new clothes, Nana!

Reed the organizer

I pulled the tub of 12/18 month fall and winter clothes from the attic. It was like a trip down memory lane, because I started remembering Ryland in them not long ago. I am blown away that it has been two years already, and Reed will be modeling the clothes soon. It was quite a job to separate them by size and then by type. The boys helped me make more of a mess than necessary, but it was fun. Reed stayed right there interested in my project long after Ryland wondered back into his race car fun. Maybe Reed will be an organizer like his mommy.

Rain boots

Typical Sunday morning at our house involves a lot of hurry, hurry, hurry. We sleep as long as we can before jumping up for showers and clothes, and then we head to church for early service. This morning was like any other Sunday morning. We were in a hurry, and we were getting ready as quickly as possible. I am busy putting Reed's clothes on when I see Ryland come in with my polka dot rain boots.
He informed me that I should wear them instead of the heels. When I decline, he slips them on with his pajamas.

Looking might fine! Walking is a bit difficult for Ryland, but you know what they say. No pain, no gain. This is an awesome look for church. Tool pajamas with polka dot rain boots.
