Smashed

I have never seen so many lizards until I moved to Southlake.  The first summer was ridiculous!  They were all over the back of the house.  We have been pretty proactive in ridding ourselves of the massive population.  Today, I figured out for sure why the Southlake schools use the Dragon mascot.
The boys and I were playing in the garage today, and I noticed it was a little chilly.  I closed the garage door, and we continued playing for about 30 minutes.  I had one more box to take out to the curb before the trash truck came.  It was pretty windy, and before I knew it packing peanuts were flying out of the box.  The boys and I chased the foam pieces around the yard and driveway.  Quickly grabbing and sticking them back in the box.
We were down to the last few peanuts, when Ryland shouted "Hey Mom, look at that huge lizard!"  When I looked over, I just about freaked out.  See, I hate lizards, and I admit I have a problem/phobia.  This thing was no lizard.  It was a little dragon.
I ran in the garage to grab some wasp spray to make sure it was dead.  I did not want that big thing in my garage.  Needless to say, it was already dead from the smash of the garage door.  Ouch!  Crazy that the garage door came down on a lizard.  I guess it was still a little chilly and the extra size slowed him down.

Playing in the garage

We were waiting on Daddy to come home, so we decided to play in the garage for a little bit. Ryland loves to push around the wagon and take his turn riding in it as well.

Ryland spotted the noodles and soon we were sword fighting with them. He was laughing so hard. He couldn't even hold the noodle up.

Air pump

John Chris and I started cleaning out the garage over the weekend and found this air pump. Ryland was intrigued right away, and now he is refusing to put it down. He likes to push it and feel the air blow out in his face. It was cute at first, but now I want to hide it away. Not to be mean, but he doesn't need at pump when he is trying to eat dinner. Can you see the possessive look on his face?

Too funny

I was in need of some new glasses, so I packed Ryland and we headed out to find some. I hardly ever wear glasses, but when my contacts are out, I am blind. I thought I better go ahead and get a new pair before I was in a situation. I found a pair that I really love, and the frames were in stock. "In about an hour" they would be mine.
I never knew getting a new pair of glasses could be so fun. Ryland wanted to touch everything, and he laughed hysterically at me when I tried on a pair. I put a pair of kids glasses on him, and he couldn't get them off quick enough. I tried to snap a picture about 5 times and this is the best shot. He looks like a little Chris Farley.
Forget the bubble machine. Ryland just figured out how to dump out the bubble solution. He then decided to roll around in it. Garage floor + bubbles = tons of fun
He was a slippery little thing, but he had so much fun. I love to hear him laugh!
